Jerry developed a passion for the woods and the outdoors at a very young age. He grew up helping his family on a farm in Northwest Lincoln County, where he learned the thrill of rabbit, squirrel, quail and deer hunting, as well as bass and catfishing on an old farm pond. His passion didn’t stop there – he also spent a lot of time on a tractor and believes, “all those hours on a tractor, smelling freshly tilled dirt, seeing your crops come up, and harvesting, instilled in me that desire to be a strong steward of the land.”

Jerry was also involved in every sport available to him – playing football, baseball, basketball and wrestling. He accepted a scholarship to play baseball out of high school and played for four years at the collegiate level. After retiring from baseball, Jerry competed in calf roping and team roping all over the country, and still keeps two horses and a miniature donkey. After college, he lived in St. Louis for several years, but kept moving further and further out of the city, eventually coming full circle and building a home on the old family farm – an area his family and relatives have lived since 1826.

He spent 20+ years in banking, finance and insurance and felt fortunate that he could work in the smaller rural towns that were close to his family farm. After so many years in banking and working closely with the real estate industry – namely agriculture and residential – Jerry thought this to be a great time to expand to representing buyers and sellers of farms, using his familiarity with financing and his management of the family’s corn, soybean and brome hay producing farm. “We are so blessed to have the perfect combination of woods, fields, water and neighboring farms that are just like ours.”

Jerry is married to his beautiful wife Susie who works as an office manager in Troy Mo. They have 2 children – Cody, who is a chemical engineer for Pfizer in the Boston area and Tara, who is a registered nurse at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

“I look forward to helping folks that share my passion for the land, the woods, and the wild life, find what they are really looking for!”

Jerry is licensed to do business across the state, with a special interest in East/Northeast Missouri.
