Jay is a 5th generation Ohio County, Kentuckian and still lives on the original 52 acre farm that his great grandparents settled on when moving to Western Kentucky. The remainder 350 acres has been purchased farm by farm over the years to create the 420 acre estate. Jay has two children - Molly & Gus and has multiple grandchildren that live near by. He enjoys going to church with his family, spending weekends by the pool, hunting, and fishing. Jay bleeds blue as he is a University of Kentucky fan - through & through. 

Jay was raised on this farm - raising crop of tobacco, working in other folks' tobacco fields, hauling hay, riding dirt bikes, and playing all sports available to him. To this day, those interests still carry on as Jay still hunts, fishes, & farms.

Jay earned an Occupational Safety & Health BS from Murray State University in 1979. He worked for 30+ years as a Construction Safety Manager for some of the largest construction companies in the world.
