Lauren Marshall

Lauren was born and raised in Southeast Missouri, and now resides in a small town just south of Cape Girardeau with her husband, A.H., and two children, Abigail and Legend. “From our porch you can watch corn getting harvested to the south and the beauty of autumn turning the trees to the north, deer dropping into the bottoms in the fall and turkeys gobbling in the spring.  I actually harvested my first turkey a stone’s throw from here,” Lauren states.

Lauren is a proud member of Cape County Cowboy Church.  “I love feeling so at home with my church family. We value the simple things in life – the love of Jesus and working to provide our families the American dream.” Faith and family are the two most important aspects of my life, and if I could pass only two life lessons on to my children, it would be understanding the value of hard work, and maintaining their moral compass win, lose, or draw, even if their decisions are unpopular.

Lauren graduated college from Central Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science and has worked in the health care industry for eight years. Her life’s work is rehabilitating people with injuries and getting them back on their feet. “I love helping people and watching them defeat obstacles they never thought possible.”

A few years ago, Lauren’s husband started a business in the outdoor industry called Soggy Bottom Boys Outfitters. “As a family we leave it all on the field accommodating people and guiding them on trophy game here in the Midwest. To simply put it, we farm for bucks and ducks – that’s our livelihood.  In our house we have 4 seasons: Deer, Duck, Turkey, and Planting Season and I promise you I know what a 140-inch deer looks like.  As my husband would say, ‘Wall candy doesn’t lie!
